HEIC is a proprietary file format used by Apple for photos taken with later model Apple iPhones. HEIC files are not currently supported by the yearbook software.
The most likely way HEIC files will end up causing issues in our software is when being directly uploaded from an iPhone. To avoid any issues with HEIC files we recommend that you turn off HEIC on your iPhone. Here is how to do this:
- Unlock your iPhone or iPad and open Settings, then select
- Under Camera, click Formats.
- To disable HEIC images, select the Most Compatible option under Camera Capture.
Alternatively, you can download your HEIC photos to a PC first, then upload to the software. Your photos will be automatically converted to JPG during this process.
