Pixami Software Updates - Live Release Notes – Knowledge Base Home

Pixami updates our software on a regular basis -- with new features, enhancements, and fixes -- in response to customer feedback. Updates are always scheduled to occur overnight, with no disruption to your user experience.

Here's a running list of the most recent updates to Pixami's software.

September 22, 2026 - Yearbook Pro Fall Update

Enhancements to Ad ordering and management. There are several enhancements to yearbook ad ordering in the e-commerce storefront, as follows:
- A brand-new set of template designs for student dedication ads, with many new options to choose from.
- A new ad ordering tutorial video is available on the storefront home page.
- There are fresh new icons for all storefront products.
- Ads can now be ordered using a mobile device and then created later using a computer. The user will be notified at checkout, and then emailed a link to design their ad.
- Advisers can now manage which ad templates are available, on a new Ads tab on the Adviser Configure page.
- Advisers can now hide student dedication ads from other users, and only advisers will be allowed to edit the Advertising section on the yearbook ladder.
- Advisers can now view all ad orders on a new Ads tab on the Sales page, and also verify which ads have been used in the book, and make corrections to ads if needed.
- Warn user when ads have been ordered but not flowed.
Guest Checkout. Users will now be allowed to checkout and pay for a yearbook or yearbook ad without requiring that they create an account.
Shipping Address. Users will no longer be required to enter a shipping address during checkout when there aren’t any products in the cart that will ship to home.
New Content. A variety of new content is available, including the following:
- Styles: 11 new style designs, with a focus on preschool, elementary and sports programs. Also, the new Full Page Images category simplifies the process of importing pages designed in other applications like Canva and InDesign.
- Art: New art in multiple categories to support the new styles, along with new sports clip art, frames, bulletin board objects and a lot more.
- Backgrounds: New backgrounds in multiple categories to support the new styles, including sports, bulletin boards and more.
- Templates: New Portrait templates with 4 large teacher frames, and new Sports Portraits templates for player photos.
Star Rating for Candid Photos. With the new Star Rating feature, advisers can quickly preview candid photos and rate their favorites for the yearbook, with ratings appearing on image thumbnails. Candids are sorted by rating, so you’ll always have the best choices at the top of each folder.
New Feature for Managing Retakes. A new feature simplifies the process for managing retake portraits, allowing you to easily update all instances of a student with their retake photo.
Replaced Times New Roman. The version of the Times New Roman font we were using had spacing issues. This font was deleted, and replaced with similar Google fonts PT Serif and EB Garamond.
Added Personalization Options to Offline Orders. We added the available Personalization Options to the Offline Order dialog, so those options can now be properly ordered outside of the shopping cart.
Improved Password Reset Token. We increased the amount of time for the password reset token to remain available, to improve the experience for handling lost passwords.
Portrait Wizard Line Height. Increased the standard line height for text boxes created using the Portrait Wizard, to allow more flexibility to change the font size later.
Improved Text Handling for Portrait Names. It is now easier to modify font, style and size, and custom data such as student quotes and player stats, for student names that were flowed onto the page in Advanced Design.
Renamed Preview Tab to Preview & Submit. On the yearbook ladder, we renamed the new Preview tab from last year to Preview & Submit based on popular feedback.
Brand Your Books. A new Admin feature allows you to automatically add your company logo to the back of every school’s book. Schools can adjust the position of the logo to coordinate with their cover design. This is a great way to promote your business and proudly display your brand on the finished yearbook product.
Add Video Help to Admin pages. A new Admin Tutorial video is now accessible from a link in the header.
Add Delete All Content and Keep the Ladder intact to renewal. When renewing sites for a new season, you’ll now have the option to “Delete all content and keep the ladder.” This will keep all of the pages in the book intact in the ladder, but remove all contents from pages for the new site.
Stripe Support. Pixami’s Shopping Cart now supports Stripe for secure payment processing. Stripe is fast and easy to set up, with competitive transaction fees and flexible payment methods, including popular buy now, pay later services. If you’re not using Pixami’s integrated storefront for yearbook and ad sales, now is a great time to get started.
Revise e-mail Opt Out functionality. In Admin, on the Site Users/My Profile Page, we’ve updated functionality for opting out of emails from the system, and reduced some of the unnecessary options.
Added the Ability to Cancel Offline Orders. You can now cancel Offline Orders, on the Orders page in Admin, in the same manner as you can cancel orders from the shopping cart.

February 10, 2026 - Yearbook Pro & Admin Features and Bug Fixes

Fixed missing video help links in Support section of Activity page, when enabled in Admin / Site Profile.
Added buttons for enabling yearbooks and ads individually in Admin / E-Commerce.
Fixed the Face Matching blue frame display on unknown faces if enabled.
Added 'MaxPages' to the 'Details' yearbook sales report in Admin.
Added feature to allow a Pixami admin to generate a new short URL code for E-Commerce sites.
Fixed an issue with Stripe mobile checkout and added additional order logging.
Multiple minor fixes and adjustments to updated Face Matching feature.
Fixed missing Ad Size prefix in yearbook ad captions.
Added wait time before check-out after force check-in of a section, to improve this experience.
Changed defaults for Pages and Copies to one instead of zero.

Added PDF, PRINT and Excel buttons to All Product Sales Report, when 1 Affiliate is selected.
Added separate Cover Due Date feature to Admin.

Added the ability to send Order Confirmation email to parent from Admin.

November 3, 2025 Update - Yearbook Pro & Admin Features and Bug Fixes

Coverage Report permissions have been changed - only Adviser and Editor can make edits.
Reduced the amount of compression for onscreen thumbnails and image previews to improve image display quality.

October 29, 2025 Update - Yearbook Pro & Admin Features and Bug Fixes

Added a progress bar to show % completed while copying or moving large numbers of Candid photos.
Created more space between the Sales Price and Retail Price on the storefront home page.
Added the Folder Name to the delete folder confirmation for Candid photos.
Ads now appear with the Students Name, not Parents Name.
Fixed an issue where Spell check wasn't working properly.
Discover and Amex logos now appear when active on the cart checkout page.
New 'Donate a Yearbook' Feature added to the cart. When enabled in Admin, users will have the option to purchase an additional book as a donation.
Changed the Default for Add Shape to a gray box with no border.
Fixed scrolling issue with large numbers of folders in PhotoPost.
Fixed display problem with Sales Price for Ads.

Received Google approval and finalized new Google Drive 'picker' interface that allows improved folder navigation and individual image selection.
New Admin Pages are Final: Add New Sites, Manage All Sites, and Manage Licenses.
Fixed issue where custom field for Personalization in checkout was incorrectly displaying for non-personalized products.
Manage All Sites page has date patched to display correctly for UK Customers.
Fixed issue with Date Sorting for Last Proof in Admin, on the Manage All Sites page.
Fix problem causing incorrect Candid folders to be renamed.
Fixed issue with Storefront message being improperly applied to the wrong affiliate.
Fixed error on Customize Checkout Page in Admin.

September 1, 2025 Update - Yearbook Pro - Fall Feature Release

New Face Matching. Replaced our Face Matching with a new, more sophisticated engine powered by Amazon. Photo tagging in Yearbook Pro is faster, more accurate, and easier to use than ever before.
Student Shield, Privacy & Security. A new Student Shield feature, accessible on the Portraits tab, uses Face Matching technology to allow students to be opted out of the book, placing them in a Protected folder. Pixami is also scheduled to complete SOC 2 certification in February. This will benefit our customers and your schools with the gold standard in cybersecurity.
New Templates & Content. A wide variety of new content will get your yearbook designers excited! The update includes 15 new Style sets with designs for EL, MS, and HS — with an exclusive set of new High School designs from Dell Burgess, Mr. Yearbook! You’ll also see a new set of templates in all categories, including over 100 built-in portrait layouts!
Background Removal. Brand-new, fast, one-click Background Removal allows you to easily remove the backgrounds from your images, opening up great design possibilities! You can find it on the Candids page toolbar.
History Feature. A new History feature available on the ladder allows you to revert any page back to a previously saved version. You now have a complete history of every page in your book, and nothing is ever lost.
New Image & Text Warnings. New, more advanced and intuitive warnings for low-resolution images, text clipping, and text overruns are available on the Editing page. They provide interactive detail and tips on how to maximize the quality of your designs.
Support, Sales & Marketing Materials. We’ve added a complete Sales, Marketing, and Support Kit — including printable flyers and posters, plus a new set of Tutorial Videos. We’re also offering dedicated training sessions for all Pixami customers!
New Admin Dashboard. This year, you’ll immediately notice a brand-new Admin Dashboard for Yearbook Pro, for management of all your schools. These pages contain all the features you’re familiar with, in a new, simplified, easy-to-navigate layout.
A brand-new Production Interface is available in Admin for Pixami print-integrated customers, delivering real-time visibility into production, plus detailed shipping and tracking information to your admins and advisers.
Multiple Languages! Yearbook Pro is now available in French, German, and Spanish, in addition to English — with more languages on the way. Pixami is already hosting sites internationally at AWS in several markets. Talk to us about your international yearbook needs!
Google Drive. An exciting update to the Google Drive integration allows you to view and navigate through your folders, and then select individual photos to copy into the software.
Double-Click to Edit! You can now double-click on a section in the ladder to open it in the Editor.
