Some words and names require special characters, such as an accent marks or tilde. Here's how to add special characters in Pixami software.
Adding Special Characters in Windows OS
Step 1: Open the Run Command box by clicking the Windows + R keys on your keyboard.
Step 2: In the Run Command box, open the Character Map by typing "charmap" in the Open field. Then click OK. The Character Map will open.
Step 3: In the Character Map box, double click on the letter/character you wish to add. then, click "Copy" on the lower right of the Character Map window.
Note: The default font style shown does not need to change, font style will be defined inside Pixami software.
Step 4: In the Pixami yearbook software, open the appropriate section in the editor, and click the text frame that requires the special character. Select the Text Edit tool to open the Text dialog.
Step 5: Press (CTRL - V) keys to paste your special character into the text editor.
Note: specific fonts styles may not support certain accent symbols. If this happens try changing your font style.
Step 6: Click Apply in the text editor to save changes.
Adding Special Characters in Apple Mac OS
Step 1: In the yearbook software, open the appropriate section in the editor, and click the text frame that requires the special character. Then click in the text field where you want to add the special character.
Step 2: In the text menu press and hold the letter on your keyboard that you want to add an accent to. A pop up menu with accent options will appear. Click on the special character you want or choose by typing in the associated number listed below the accent character.
Note: If the letter accent menu or option does not appear, the accent may not be available for the font being used (if this happens, select a different font style).
